Hart Road Runners meet twice weekly for specialized training.

Tuesday night meet at 07:30pm and the training  consists of:

             Hill Training    Makes you stronger                              

            Fartlek

            Ping Test         Tests your  stamina

            Speed Sessions and Sprints.

     All Tuesday training sessions are arranged by our qualified  residential coaches,  Sheila Smith and Alan Lott. Sheila and Alan have  been with the club over the past several years and  has vastly improved the overall fitness of the members. Sheila and Alan will also help in personalized training sessions if requested. 

And I can see for miles and miles.......

 

Thursday Night Training Session  we meet at 07:00pm at the Hart Leisure Center and have a variety of  training routes that we  follow depending on the weather.

      Winter Runs: Around Fleet: Between 8 and 10 Miles. Always in well lit area's. 

   

      Summer Runs: There are a vast choice of Summer Runs that we are able to alternate depending on the weather -  They range from

       30 mins out, 30 mins back.

        Fleet Pond

        Hartley Wintney Forest

        Swan Lake

         Water Witch

        and more. 

       

Sunday Training: Sunday the club meets at 08:30am, sharp, and normally takes in the surrounding countryside. Approximately 10 to 15 miles. 

Marathon Training: The main event that the club participates in is the London marathon. Every year we have between 20 and 30 entries. We start the training just after the New Year bash and it picks up around March with the Fleet 1/2 marathon. A lot of the marathon training is done on a Sunday morning run. See above.
