What precautions/Risk Control Systems are currently in place to give the stated risk level for each hazard?

Training Runs

Reducing the risks for novices, giving them advice on training and keeping an eye on them, care taken when running off road group running only – members advised of risk, always run in groups not alone.  Members must wear reflective clothing in winter, runs planned to avoid busy roads wherever possible.  Organised group stretching session to ensure members warm down properly.

Track and Field Training

Track training is undertaken at Aldershot Stadium, where each training group is under the instruction of experienced qualified coaches.  Sessions are only open to club members.

Races

Enter only fully licensed races with race permits and adequate first aid cover, members also advised to take lots of warm clothes etc, Members advised to take on plenty of liquids to combat dehydration, Members advised never run when feeling ill.

 

Handicap Race Series

When any new member attends handicap series for the first time. He / She is assessed to allocate handicap time. Once allocated time he / she is placed under supervision of experienced member to learn course.
