A strong team of Hart Road Runners gathered on the 29th December 2024 at the Alice Holt park for the rescheduled Southern Cross Country League race. Fuelled by Christmas indulgences, we were keen to stretch our legs! There was plenty of energy sapping mud to contend with, and some long draining uphills, plus a few fallen trees to skip over and plenty of tree roots to watch out for. All things considered, a challenging but fun route!
It was particularly great to field such a strong men’s team – well done to our scorers Dom Wake, Stu Meadows, Mark Buckle and Jon Cross, as well as Dave Hart, Charlie Boffin, Neil Bellamy, Graham Knights, Ross Maclagan, James Russell, Jason Twigg, Andy Danson, Pete Maidment and Neil Cunliffe. For the ladies our scorers were myself (Hannah), Trudie Mitchell, Helen Collett and Caroline Dobbin, with Mimi Reed, Jane Mercer and Lisa Barker also racing. Really well done to everyone, some great performances!
